Manoviraj is a PhD student in the Department of Aeronautics at Imperial College London and a member of the Aerospace Environmental Impacts Simulation (AEIS) Group. He is co-supervised by Dr. Sebastian Eastham and Dr. Urban Fasel. His research focuses on applying scientific machine learning techniques to better understand the climate impacts of aviation, with a particular emphasis on aircraft condensation trails (contrails). By integrating meteorological and satellite observations with data-driven modelling approaches, he seeks to improve the identification and prediction of the atmospheric conditions that lead to persistent contrail formation. Before joining Imperial he graduated with a BA/MENG from University of Cambridge.
